Even with a 70% discount on the game when it released, this wasn't enough to quell the frustrations players had. The other concern is due to GOG.com's 'DRM-free' stance, which has been broken by Hitman. This main concern was raised due to the always online connection requirement, even if a fan is playing the game offline in single-player mode. Upon release however, Hitman was immediately review bombed on the storefront due to the title's usage of DRM. The 2016 reboot was released onto the storefront, under its Game of the Year edition moniker. The reboot has been available on many different storefronts, including the GOG Store, where some fans have expressed their frustrations for this particular release. It shows there's still quite a bit for fans to enjoy with this series through its refined mechanics and assassinations. This includes its latest release having an incredible live DLC roadmap, which caused Hitman 3's team to expand for the coming months.
